User Research Outline
(1) On the research side, I am investigating the emergent nature of Japanese adverbial modification causing lost in translation from the perspective of lexicon-context interaction based on the constructional approach. This approach combines corpus data with lexical semantics and syntactic grammar, with an awareness of both empirical and theoretical aspects. (2) On the pedagogical side, I am in charge of Japanese language courses for international students. For international students, Japanese is not only a foreign language of daily life, but also the foundation of their academic skills as university students. I work to improve their overall Japanese language skills, including communication skills for problem solving and writing research papers in which they properly refer articles and logically express their own opinions. (3) On the social contribution side, I am engaged in activities that connect research and the community, such as outreach activities to practice "easy/plain Japanese" for a multicultural society, and support for Japanese language learning supporters.
